Painters in Batehaven
Painters working Batehaven and the streets back off the beach. Exteriors, interiors, decks, roofs and driveways.
The houses here
Batehaven is close-packed and mostly older. A lot of the stock is the classic coastal cottage, single storey, weatherboard or fibro, with a carport and a bit of timber somewhere that has silvered off. There is a good run of holiday places among them, which means houses that sit empty through winter and then get looked at hard in November. Timber trim and front doors take the worst of it and are usually the first thing anyone notices.
What the weather does to paint in Batehaven
Being this close to the beach, salt is the main problem and it does not need a storm to do damage. It settles on the surface, holds moisture against the paint film and lifts it from underneath. The wash down matters more here than almost anywhere in the bay, because painting over salt is how a two-year job turns into a one-year job.
What happens on the day
Furniture gets covered and floors get sheeted before anything is opened. Andrew and the crew work through the surfaces in order, the gear goes away at the end of each day, and you get your house back each evening rather than living in a work site for a fortnight. Every painter on site is licensed and the whole team is insured.
How a quote gets written
Andrew comes out, looks at the actual surfaces and writes the job down. The surfaces, the preparation, the products and the number of coats, all listed, so you can hold it next to anybody else's quote and see where the difference is. It is free and there is no obligation at the end of it.
A cheap quote on this coast is almost always a quote with the wash down, the scrape and the primer left out of it. That is not a saving, it is a repaint you pay for twice. Over 25 years working the Eurobodalla, that is the one thing worth being firm about.

What we get called out for
Residential and commercial, inside and out. If it is not on this list it is still worth asking, because most of it is the same trade.
- Exterior repaints on weatherboard and fibro cottages
- Front doors, entry frames and timber trim taken back and recoated
- Decks and handrails sanded and re-oiled after a summer of salt
- Holiday houses turned around between bookings
- House washes on their own, without a full repaint
- Roof restorations where the coating has gone chalky
