The houses here
Surfside sits right on the water on the far side of the bridge, and the housing reflects it. Older beach shacks that have been added to over the years, sitting next to places that have been rebuilt properly. Plenty of elevated decks and plenty of exposed timber, because the whole appeal of the street is facing the water.
What the weather does to paint in Surfside
This is about as exposed as the bay gets. Salt spray, full sun on the water side and very little shelter. Coatings on the seaward elevation can be finished while the back of the same house still looks reasonable, so a quote here almost always comes out as different treatments on different walls rather than one number for the lot.
