The houses here

Narooma is built around Wagonga Inlet and steps steeply up from the water, so a lot of houses are elevated, on sloping blocks, and hard to get at. There is a real commercial strip, a strong tourism accommodation sector, and residential stock ranging from old fibro up to modern builds taking the view.

What the weather does to paint in Narooma

The terrain is as much a factor as the weather here. Steep blocks and elevated houses mean access and scaffolding have to be part of the quote rather than a surprise on the day. On top of that is the usual inlet and ocean combination of salt and humidity working on timber and metal.

What happens on the day

Furniture gets covered and floors get sheeted before anything is opened.
